Gareth Brown has been involved with BTS since the age of 5 and has won several British National Champion titles at junior and senior level. He took over as full time head team coach in 2010 and has been instrumental in building the club's sports team.
In 2011 he started getting involved with the GB Taekwondo development programme in Manchester, leading the training camps for the cadet and junior development squads. He coached the Junior National Team at the European Championships in Cyprus in 2011 and the World Championships in Egypt in 2012.
He was recruited as full time development coach by GB Taekwondo in April 2013 before being promoted to High Performance Coach.
In 2016 Gareth travelled to Rio in his role as high performance coach with Team GB, pictured below on the right with Paul Green.
